Helen is the first company in the Nordic electricity market to integrate a mega-watt scale lithium-ion battery energy storage system in the electricity grid. The Suvilahti electricity storage facility will comprise some 15 000 lithium-ion battery cells that will temporarily store the energy generated by Helen’s Suvilahti power plant and the plant currently under construction in Kivikko.
