Fuel Company TVEL has signed a contract with VattenfallNuclear Fuel AB for supply of lead fuel assemblies (LFA’s) to Ringhals 3 nuclearpower plant. The nuclear fuel developed by the leading Rosatom R&Dunits is going to be the first of its kind case of licensing Russian nuclearfuel in the Western pressurized water reactor (PWR).
Russian uranium to Ringhals
Ringhals 3 (1048 MW) is the first of western designed nuclear reactors to be fueled with assemblies from Russia.
