The price of coal with one-year delivery rose 1.0 percent to 70.32 dollarsper tonne. This was the first time this year with a closing price above 70dollars per tonne.
The previous year-high was reached on January 6, with a price of 69.70
Coal price hit 7-month high
The price of coal with delivery to Dutch and Belgian ports rose to a more than seven-month high on Wednesday. So far this year, however, the price improved by just 0.4 percent.
