A new dispute over nuclear power policy has started between German Chancellor Gerhard Schröder (Social Democrat) and Environment Minister Jürgen Trittin (Green), according to German press reports.
Mr Trittin wants to delay further transportation of nuclear waste as long as possible, so that as little waste as possible is sent to reprocessing plants in the UK and France.
