East German electricity company VEAG's (Vereinigte Energiewerke AG) sales declined by about 8 per cent to DEM 4.8 billion (EUR 2.45 bln) in 1998, mainly due to reduced electricity prices - totalling DEM 400 million, the company said in a press release.
