Gas power production in Germany was also lower owing to the fact that there have been several periods this year when it has been unprofitable to generate energy because of a fall in demand for electricity on the back of the global financial crisis.
Statkraft Q2 adjusted operating income fell 31% to NOK 1.4bn
Statkraft AS said its second-quarter underlying operating income fell by 30.9 percent to 1,420 million Norwegian kroner, or about 163.2 million euros, compared with NOK 2,054 million in the same period last year.
