The European Energy Exchange AG (EEX) in Leipzig, Germany,the winning temporary contractor, will sell at least 250 million metric tons ofthe permits, according to the statement.
They are valued at 2 billion euros, based on prices today onthe ICE Futures Europe exchange in London.
