Statoil ASA and Norsk Hydro ASA shareholder at separate extraordinary general meetings yesterday approved the merger of Statoil and Hydro’s oil and gas activities.
The proposal for this was agreed by the boards of directors of Norsk Hydro and Statoil on 12 and 13 March 2007 respectively.
