The biggest east-German electricity producer, Berlin-based Veag, may face dramatic changes. According to the Berliner Zeitung, the company will no longer be an independent market operator, but probably become an integrated part of the company formed by a merger of diversified groups Veba and Viag, if the merger goes through as planned.
