Germany’s monopolies commission, a government research body, said the country should establish a new authority to monitor electricity and gas trading, Bloomberg News reported.
The new regulator would be charged with overseeing the supply and demand for power and gas, as well as network and storage capacity, the Bonn-based commission said.
