THE NUCLEAR LIABILITY COMMITTEE HAS PROPOSED that legislation on nuclear responsibility be based on unlimited liability for the plant owners instead of the current principle of limited liability. The owner of a nuclear power plant would be required to have insurance for at least EUR 700m.
