Electricidade de Portugal SA’s (EDP) acquisition of sole control of Spanish utility company Hidroelectrica del Cantabrico SA was approved by the European Commission.
Hidrocantabrico is presently controlled by EDP together with Energie Baden- Württemberg AG (EnBW), a subsidiary of Electricite de France (EDF), and Spanish savings bank CajAstur.
