Electricite de France SA (EDF) said it will invest 900 million euros in new thermal generation plants in France.
The investment is part of the process for expanding generating capacity for the period 2010 to 2015 to cope with the increase in electricity needs in the medium term,” EDF chairman Pierre Gadonneiz said in a statement.
