A European energy sector inquiry has confirmed that the market is ridden by serious competition problems, the European Commission said.
“This report will make uncomfortable reading for many energy companies. Underinvestment is rife, especially in networks, and customers are suffering as a result,” said EU competition commissioner Neelie Kroes.
