Electricity consumption in the Nordic region has been 4500 MW lower than expected this autumn due to the milder than normal weather. This has also affected electricity prices.
But Markku Jalonen, section manager at the Finnish energy industries federation Finergy, is warning that the situation could change quickly if a period of cold weather sets in.
