Liberalisation of the German power sector has led to significant price reductions for smaller industrial customers, of an average 7.8% in western Germany and 5.5% in the east, according to the latest survey (12 months to January 1999) by the Federal Association of Energy Consumers (VEA), Power in Europe reported.
