On 27 February 2009, the open interest was 4,130,958 MWh. On 27 February 2009 natural gas prices for delivery in 2010 were fixed at 19.25 Euro/MWh (GUD) and 19.78 Euro/MWh (NCG), respectively.

Electricity trading volume on the European Energy Exchange (EEX) in February 2009 totalled 97.4 TWh, compared with 96.5 TWh in February 2008.
