On 31 July 2009, the open interest was 3,836,408 MWh. On 31 July 2009 natural gas prices for delivery in 2010 were fixed at 18.75 Euro/MWh (GUD) and 18.90 Euro/MWh (NCG), respectively.

Electricity trading volume on the European Energy Exchange (EEX) in July 2009 totalled 79.1 TWh, compared with 144.2 TWh in July 2008.
