On 31 August 2009 natural gas prices for delivery in 2010 were fixed at 17.13 Euro/MWh (GUD) and 17.30 Euro/MWh (NCG), respectively.

Electricity trading volume on the European Energy Exchange (EEX) in August 2009 totalled 77.5 TWh, compared with 74.6 TWh in August.
