Gas Natural will face strict government-imposed cionditions on its EUR 25 billion bid for larger rival Iberdrola SA, El Mundo said citing sources close to the Economic Ministry.
Gas Natural controls 72 per cent of Spain’s gas market and Iberdrola produces 38 per cent of Spain’s electricity.
